well, both parents are plants that like to remain moist I believe. I have had a little trouble getting the watering right - first I must have over-watered as some new growth rotted. Mine is potted in coconut husk chips in a plastic pot, so retains moisture well. Over this past summer I watered well once a week, and a couple times a week in-between I just sprayed a bit of water on the surface of the media. It does tend to be dry here in summer tho.
It rebounded enough to bloom a few months ago.

How often to water will depend on your climate/humidity, as well as potting media. I would say it likes to be moist, but not soggy ...
