Default Bifrenaria inodora alba

An alba variety of Bifr inodora (that usually has green petals/sépals and purple lip). Unfortunately the petals/sepals are 'dirty' (after raining)

That is a very cool looking chid! There is something about it that reminds me of a lycaste...but only sort of...the pseudobulbs and leaves are different...but the flower is similar to me.

Does it have a fragrance?

Thanks for the post Frederico.

Hi David,

Yes, Bifrenarias and Lycastes are closed allied! Some of Bifrenarias received first the name of "Lycaste", and it was changed later. Unlike what the name suggests, the "inodoras" are very scented!!

It looks very nice! It's just a shame about the rain damage though. I too would have thought that inodoras would have meant it had no scent. Glad to know it's fragrant.
