That's an awesome blossom! Who was the vendor out of curiosity? I'm always looking for something different and thinking about going to the show in Roseburg.

Yep! They are going to be there - Briggs Hill Orchids - Briggs Hill Orchids - Eugene, Oregon - News & Upcoming Events. I doubt she has another, but it might be worth emailing and checking it out. She might also know where she got them?
Good luck!
How large of show is the Roseburg show? How many vendors usually - all the usual willamette valley ones? Is it judged? I could be tempted to drive down there myself! :-)

Helene at Briggs Hill is one of my favorite vendors! I bought all of my slippers from her as well as a bunch of other stuff. She has some unusual Bulbos. and her selection of Phrags is superb! Have you been to her greenhouse? It's worth a trip.

I've never been to the Roseburg show before. It's the Willamette, Umpqua & Pacific Orchid Societies Show & Sale. I don't know who the venders will be but I do know Briggs Hill will be there for sure, and I assume JC Tropicals, Babydragon Orchids, and the other usual suspects will be there as well. This years theme is "Jewels of Nature". The date is 10/11 & 12. I'm pretty sure it is judged as some of the folks from the Rogue Valley Orchid Society are taking plants up. I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it or not. The other half has made some other committments.

Hi Terri - I have not been to Helene's greenhouse yet, but I have thought about it for a couple of years now. She pretty much comes to all the willamette valley shows and ALL of her orchids are of supreme health and quality.
If you remain interested in this plant and cannot find one we can probably work out something when I divide this one - maybe this spring. You can pm me if you are interested.

Should you decide to go to the show the RVOS guru George talked me into sending my Aer. luteo-alba var. rhodostica. This will be my first plant shown and judged, and I can't even be there. It was nice of him to ask me to send it.

I would so like to drive down to the show but it is about 2.5 hour drive and I work Saturday and Sunday is my only day off - so alas - maybe another time? BTW - my propetalum DOES have a nice fragrance. I checked it out for the first time last weekend and was pleasantly surprised - it is in a large room so it disperses to the point you have to get right up on it to tell.
Good luck on your first judged plant - I'm predicting a ribbon!

Excellent! I noted that in your other post. Great job! I just had a "good feeling".
