I got this Propetalum La Jolla Delight on a whim about 6 months ago and despite its sulking in the shade during summer, it has responded well to the cooler temps and higher light it has been getting in the cooler months.
While shifting the plants on the porch around for some spring cleaning, I noticed that the Propetalum’s newest growth had what looks like another new growth coming out of it. This is the first Zygopetalum-type I’ve grown and wasn’t sure what to expect—all of the new growth I’ve had on this plant had originated from the base of a pseudobulb. I thought it was strange that I wasn’t seeing the pseudobulb form on the growth that’s supporting this mystery growth—my last pseudobulb developed quickly in comparison!
What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance!
