Cochleanthes amazonica (Syn. Warczewiczella amazonica) is an intermediate to warm grower that likes moderate, indirect sunlight. I have it growing outdoors in a moist mix of sphagnum moss and coco bark, never allowing the roots to dry out completely.
This bloom is much more beautiful than last year's. I particularly love that dainty little striped "collar" under the anther cap -- laying so neatly atop the purple striations that flow across and down the lip. Do you see it?
