I was getting conflicting information regarding the care and culture of this particular orchid. Most sources I found said it grows best in intermediate temperatures and shade. Well, I have this one growing outdoors with daily temperatures reaching into the 80s and 90s, nighttime between 70-80. I do provide it with medium shade at best and plenty of moisture. So, I guess it doesn't mind the excessive heat.
Also, the tag that came with the orchid identified it as Lysudamuloa Red Jewel 'Hilo Girl'. Due to it's muted watermelon red and yellow tones, I believe it's actually a form of Lysudamuloa Red Jewel 'Sweet Baby'. In any case, I love the shape, style and fragrance of this complex hybrid
