Tying / Cutting Lycaste and Anguloa Leaves, and other myths (?)
Default Tying / Cutting Lycaste and Anguloa Leaves, and other myths (?)

Hello everyone, Happy Growing

I've been researching ways to improve my Lycaste and Anguloas growing, I even used translators to look for growing pages in other languages XD

I found these two pages in Japanese, one of them specifies the cultivation of Lycaste and mentions that when the bud matures and the leaves separate, it is best to tie them (to avoid infection from cuts or mechanical damage).

In another part (I can't remember where XD) I heard that once the Lycaste buds mature, it's best to tie the leaves so that the sunlight reaches the base of the bulb (?).

I have also heard that when growing Anguloas and Lycastes it is good to orient them towards the western sun.

What do you think?

Also, if you know other cultivation sheets of this subtribe, or some document to improve cultivation, you can share them. (Apart from those of AOS)
