Wow! These are really well grown!!
Where are you finding these Lycastes? I've been looking for some of the hot growing, deciduous types for a while.

Thanks Stephen!
I got half of them from SVO 2 years ago as tiny 2 bulb seedlings.
The other half I got from Ecuagenera. They have a lot available now and they are always huge and healthy (similar to their phrags). Ecuagenera Lycastes get a little confused by the hemisphere change but figure it out in the first year.

Those Lycaste look fantastic!!! Well done! I've always been tempted to try one (particularily Lycaste aromatica after getting a whiff of it at a show a decade ago), but as it's a completely unknown genus for me, I've been hesitant to buy one.

I treat them exactly like catasetum but with a little less fertilizer I only grow the deciduous types though. I love my aromatica, smells exactly like "Big Red" chewing gum. Not as floriferous as these hybrids though.

That's a great cross, I'm going to pick one up at that price

Lyc Brevispatha x braedeorum is blooming now. 47 Flowers and buds. Each flower is lightly fragrant but all 47 at once is pretty powerful.
