Default Maxillaria rodrigueziana

Maxillaria rodrigueziana put on a nice show! I like the spidery petals that dangle down and the occasional red freckles on the sepals. The blooms are still opening up but I detect a sweet floral fragrance.

I just grow it indoors and constantly moist. Seems to like it.

Haha well I think it's good for people who like to overwater... Maybe.

I will say that my tenuifolia grew like a weed in Atlanta but it is suffering since I moved to San Diego. Still trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong...

I got this Rodrigueziana from Andy since he had it marked down on a sale. I thought I'd give another species a chance and I'm glad I did! So far it's been pretty easy to care for 🙂.
