My 5 deciduous lycastes are waking up and popping out new growth, flower buds, or both. I couldn't find good guidance out there on the resumption of watering for deciduous lycastes.
How do you guys water lycastes as they wake up? Do you just start letting the water flow when seeing new growth, gradually ramp it up, or withhold water until all the bulbs are shriveled (like catasetum)?
I don't dry them out at all. But once they start putting out new growth, watering can certainly start. They don't have the growth pattern of Catasetinae where you have to hold back on watering.
