I think the best blooming that I have had from this plant... there's at least one more bud, that will probably open about the time the earlier ones start to fade. Grows somewhat shady and damp, small bark in a bulb pan. Outdoors for me, so can tolerate fairly cool winters, summer isn't a problem either.

That is beautiful and it it looks so healthy! I really love the gray green foliage on these Promenaeas. I got a xanthina from Andy’s a couple of years ago and I was really surprised at how much heat it could handle. What it couldn’t handle was my horrible tap water. It got hit one too many times with the hose water and started going down hill. It’s recovering, but no pretty yellow blooms this year

Mine has perked up considerably since I got my RO unit. It has made a big difference for a lot of things that used to just survive, now thrive. My Catts, Cyms, and other "big stuff" still get city water, but the smaller plants get crammed onto my patio where they get the RO, it has paid off.

That’s a really good idea and one I hadn’t considered. I would love to get a big RO system, or even a rain barrel, but due to space limitations and the fact that I rent, those are both out. But I could group them a little better and just use a small countertop system for the most sensitive ones

If you ever get to where you have space for one, rain barrel would be a good approach, since you do get rain. For me, those could be a supplement but I'd never want to be dependent on rain... there might be a few good storms a year, in a few months of winter, the rest of the time, where I live is pretty desert-like.
