Zygos bred for yellow background color
Couple of years ago, I bought 10-12 seedlings from Casa de las Orquideas. One of the crosses was an attempt at breeding flowers with yellow background (in place of usual light green).
This one (Pbt. Kiwi Gold 'Sunspots' x Z. Kiwi Korker 'Kutie' AM/AOS) comes pretty close. Flowers are about 3 weeks old, shape was much better when they first opened.
4/14: Edited to add photo of flowers from another plant of the same cross. Not as yellow, but very distinct spotting.

Super nice color. I think that's more than "close" Kim. At lease for someone like me.

My plan is to bloom them out, and then start making divisions available of the better ones.
The plant in the photo is large enough to divide, but it was repotted less than a year ago, so I will probably wait till the fall or early 2021.

Here is a different grex from the same source. It is a re-make of Pbt. Copper Queen, but using different plants to make the pod.
The goal is the same, yellow background. In this plant, the lip color is more traditional.
