Since this thread has been resuscitated, let me give you an update about my Maxillaria tenuifolias.

One of them never grew much roots and has been struggling for the last two years.

The other three are doing better. The first year they grew very slowly. Last summer they added a few pseudobulbs on top of the existing stacks. One of them bloomed this spring (with only one flower). This summer, they are finally starting to grow more pseudobulb from the base. It will still take a few years before they look as nice as those shown by other members earlier in the thread.
