Talking new from WV

I have always looked afar admiring these beautiful flowers. Now, I have one... I found one at a grocery store that was mislabled as a lilly and picked it up for only $7! It was in full bloom and about 2 1/2 feet tall with full green leaves everywhere. NOW- I am trying to figure out how to avoid killing it. I have figured out that I can repot it till it stops blooming... and a few other things... guess I will be posting lots so I don't kill it LOL

Welcome!!!!!!
Sometimes, just sometimes, the name is etched on the container of the orchid. You might want to check that to see if there is any indication to what it is.
Pictures are a great help to us if you can post some.
Again, welcome!!!!!!

Welcome to the Orchid Board Baby Turtle!
Either send us a picture of describe it to us and we can tell you what it is. From what you described so far it wounds like an oncidium or in the oncidium alliance family.
Maybe join your local orchid society or just ask questions here. All of us are very helpful.

Happy Growing!
