After lurking around for a few months, I finally decided to make an account here, in this excellent orchid forum. I saw the "beginner tips" post and I was encouraged to introduce myself so, here I am!
I consider myself quite new to the orchid hobby (I have been growing orchids for only a year, and most of them were rescued Phalaenopsis) but I love them already and I am a curious person with a scientific background, so I am learning a lot about them and I am constantly looking at papers/articles about orchids to further my knowledge.
I'm eager to start asking questions to all of you, more experienced users. Beware!
Hello and welcome! I’ve found that quite a few people with backgrounds in science really get into this hobby. Such fascinating little plants!
Yeah I remembered learning about CAM plants when I was studying vegetal physiology at university, and then bam! You're hooked into orchids, which are CAM most of them.
