Default Hello from Florida

Hello. My name is Jon and I am from Sarasota. I am just starting with orchids and am beyond hooked. I have a few of the following: cattleya, dendrobium, oncidium, cymbidium, phalaenopsis, and vandas. For the most part I grow everthing outdoors, except the phals. Looking forward to learning a lot!

Jon,
I hate you. Already. I want to live in Sarasota. Instead I have to live in North Florida. JUST KIDDING!

Welcome. You are in such a great place to grow orchids! And you have Tropiflora, Fender's Flora, Michael's bromeliads and Marie Selby all right there! You lucky dog.

Show us some pics of your stuff!

Welcome! I'm in SW Florida and also grow outside. You'll find alot of friendly helpful advice here.

I just went to the Marie Selby Gardens in January for the first time. Loved it--I am going to get back there again, hopefully soon.

Hey Jon!

I too live in Sarasota, but am currently stationed up in Chicago, IL.

I definitely agree with Faerygirl, lots of orchidaceous places around the area!

Look forward to some of your posts and plants!
-Pat
