Hello from Virginia

I too live in Virginia. In Manassas actually, I didn't know so many people close to me grow orchids.

Al's Orchid Greenhouse in Leesburg, VA is another great place to visit. I'm not sure how far from MD you are, but there is a greenhouse names the Little greenhouse in Parkville, MD that is amazing as well. The owners are very nice and have a great collection.

I can also vouch that Floradise is a great place to visit. Steve and Janet are always so nice to me.

The wife and I drove up to Longwood PA. to see the Orchids at Longwood Gardens. The wife rarely ventures through the greenhouse so she kept saying, "I like that one". Me saying I got that one home... lol She took a special liking to Paphiopedilums which I haven't been to interested in. So now a month after the trip I have 11 of them... Oh, and I scored two huge Vanda's at Longwood for just 20 bucks each. Noid, but for that price how can I go wrong.... They are already showing new growth..

Welcome to the board! I'm in Maryland and visit Al's Orchids quite often. It is always a nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon along with a little money, love going there!
