I'd like to introduce myself to ya'll.
I have finally convinced my husband that growing Cats. and Cymbs. in the house is no longer an option as they continue to grow and I continue to buy. Tomorrow we head out for the Home and Garden Show where we will be looking for a new home for the orchids-I'm so pumped to finally get a greenhouse! I have about 30 mature plants living in the empty dining room and the occupied master bedroom. They winter over everywhere I can hog a window and shortly will all move outside under the live oak trees. My guardian cat prevents the squirrels from feasting on the orchid buffet.
My daughter has chosen Cymbidiums as her flower of choice for her wedding next year-and I get to grow them! Only problem is, she's getting married in the last Summer and all my guys bloom in the Spring. Any suggestions will be gratefully accepted! My name is Joann.
Congrats on the upcoming greenhouse You're gonna love it!
I'm sure some of our more experienced Cym growers will be able to help you in choosing plants that should
be in bloom when you need them...but I would be nervous about that job!
You might want to post that specific question in our Cymbidium forum to ensure more folks see it
