Epiphytic orchids and frogs
I am a breeder/retailer of pet frog and frog supplies, and I'm beginning to add small epiphytic orchids to my line of bromeliads and tropical plants for vivariums. I decided to join the board to study up on orchids before settling on a single wholesaler for my stock. I picked up a few samples from a small grower, but they arrived without tags, so I'll probably have to wait until they bloom to ID them. I posted pics of my mystery orchids on my web site at www.forestfrogs.com/orchids.html, if anyone wants to take a stab at an ID.

Hey there, Jim!
Great place to be! Where are you located in Michigan? I have family near Kalamazoo. Welcome to the site. I am sure that you will find out what you need to know before your first buying spree!

Welcome Jim. I'll just bet I could get you to the Genera, on several of those, if the pics were larger. Can you post pics in a gallery here and size them to 640 pixels long side of image?
I'm glad to see more Michiganders join the board. It proves there are lots more folks interested in orchids in Michigan. Florida doesn't have a monopoly

Thanks.
I'm on the southwest side of Grand Rapids, and the biggest reason I look forward to summer is Oberon from Bell's Brewery in Kalamazoo!

Ross, Thanks. I posted them 640x640 in my album "Mystery Orchids." I've got copies a lot bigger if you want to get out the microscope

The only one I can say for sure is the last one which is an equitant Oncidium (also known as Tolumnia) - I'm pretty sure on that. There are thousands of hybrids so good luck on which one. The first bunch look like Brassias to me, but I really am not sure from the photos. They are Brassia-like. The third one may be a Laelia.

This site has many of the orchids you have perhaps you can match some up
Orchids
... I'll try and give you a hand if you get stuck but the best I can do is try to find a pic of the foliage online .. Ross already mentioned that your photos are difficult to see any kind of detail.
BTW -
WELCOME JIM!
Glad you have joined us at the OB
