Default Can my orchid be saved>

Hello everyone...
My name is Shelley and I am new to your site. I received a Phal at my mother's funeral. It had a couple of beautiful flowers and a couple of buds. In bringing it the two hours home, the stalk was broken. Subsequently the flowers have died. The leaves have split and look not so great. We keep our house cool. Any thoughts on where the best place is to get general information on my plant and what I need to do for it. I would hate to see anything happen to it. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the board.

In answer to your question - probably yes. Can you post pictures?

As for culture, we have a care sheet posted on the board here at http://www.orchidboard.com/Phalaenop...ure-Care-Sheet

I have 2 Phals and 6 Paphs (which usually have similar needs) in a very cool house (67F days and 62F nights) and they do just fine. I really understand the sentiment behind your not wanting to lose your plant. Keeping it alive and thriving may have different demands than seeing it blossom again. Read the care sheet and then ask away. Once again, welcome to the board.
