New here
Hello All,
I'm new to this board, but have been collecting orchids for about 3 years. Much of what I have has been acquired at bargain prices or given to me by aficionados. I've had relatively good success getting individuals to spike (Phals, Pahphs, Oncs, and mini-Dendrobium), but have other genera that seem to be healthy, but don't bloom (Grammatophyllum, Angraecum, Dendrobium, Stella, Maxillaria, and Phaius). I'd like to get advice from the group about what I may be doing wrong. I live in SE Georgia, USA and have a sun room where I keep most of my specimens. There are several wild orchids here in SE Georgia (e.g., Platanthera, Cleistes, Epidendrum, Pteroglossaspis, Spiranthes, et al.). I don't keep any natives except Epidendrum conopseum, which I found on the ground after a wind storm. I'm looking forward to posting pictures of and asking questions about my collection to this knowledgeable group. Glad to make your acquaintance!!
