Not a newbie
This isn't really an introduction. I've been a member here for many years, but have been absent for quite a while and thought I'd give an update on our lives which have been very busy.
The main thing that's kept us away has been our planned retirement and move to the other side of the state (Spokane). We should be settled there by next summer and are looking for a house.
The last couple of summers have been busy also. The summer of 2015 was taken up with plans to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary with a trip to Alaska by ferry (we flew home after the ferry trip and several weeks of adventure in Alaska). This past summer involved a trip to Australia for the wedding of our youngest son and a lengthy holiday there.
We've kept busy with hiking and orchid hunting and photography in between these trips but there hasn't been time for much else. Hope to change that now and glad to be back.
