And.....what did you add to your collection? My closest orchid shop is 45 min away and not on the way to anything for me. I still manage a trip as often as I can. Lucky you!

It's a blessing and a curse haha! But I added a cyc. Herrenhusanum 'svo' x cyc. Herrenhusanum 'cindy hill' and onc. Ornithorhynchum.

Birds Botanicals off of 435 and 23rd street in Kansas City. It's a great olace and the owner is really friendly and helpful.

Birds in the underground caves, a really cool place to go. Was there there earlier this month. David always has something unusual to see. He is really into the fly traps and pitcher plants right now. He is the only grower in KC that I know of.
There is the Orchid Society of Greater KC (OSGKC.org). Their next monthly meeting is coming up soon, I think it is nov. 13, in Lenexa (Lenenxa Senior Center, 95th and Pflumm). There should be people there who would love to trade or sell plants and exchange knowledge with you or anyone else.
