I did it. I finally did it! Joined the club that is.
After using this site as a personal orchipedia for solving all sorts of problems or just perusing through posts and seeing what/how others are growing and caring for their orchid, i decided to become an active member of the community.
My thank yous go out to all of you posting here, you helped me out on numerous occasions. I also hope to contribute by sharing my experience and acquired know-how.
I started growing orchids a few years ago and my passion just seems to grow. So far i have approx. 60 orchids of almost all types. Last year was also the first year I tried my hand in pollination (succesfully
) and harvested first mature seed pods that are now awaiting plating and hopefully flasking. We will see, fingers crossed!
When I'm not spending my time with orchids, i ca usually be found around carnivorous and air plants and gardening. Or with my nose deep in a book.
