Ooooh! I'm so trying that! I just looked and there's a node that looks pretty good, it's been submerged in water (so I could enjoy the blooms) and looks somewhat swollen. There's a decent sized area just above the node that has some cold damage, but it's not as sunken as the other spots, just discolored.

Glad I could help and give you a more positive outlook towards that mishap j-nail!!! If there is discoloration on the stem, cut it off before trying this adventure because it will be very prone to rot which can kill the whole deal. Good luck and if it works you can say you have successfully cloned an orchid!
