Hey Hermes!

Welcome to the site.

I really love Phal's!
About 1/4 of my collection are Phal's. I think they are a great variety to begin learning about orchids, their care and needs.

"Completely new" is what we specialize around here.
Take a look around, check out some threads, drool over some pictures, kick the tires, etc., etc., etc.

Have a good time while you're here, and start thinking about what your next orchid might be

I really like Phals. Even though they're almost the only orchid I see around here, in stores, I can't get mine to rebloom. I think I need to expose them to cooler temperatures.

Are your Phal's inside or out?
I have all mine outside and those getting more direct light (morning then defused through an oak tree mid-morning till sunset) started sending out spikes first.

Mine are inside. I get paranoid that I'll burn them. I've got them in a pretty bright spot inside. I guess I don't have anything to loose by trying again. I should probably add some sphagnum to the bark so it retains a little moisture.

I actually tried to self one I got on discount recently, but I don't think it took. The flowers are dying off.
