Hi, I think Ross hit it on the nail. I looked closely at the plant, if you look at pic 1 and Pic 2, you will see in the middle of the root system is a white spot (the focus was not that good) upon closer inspection I noticed it is a small shoot (plant) starting to grow. I think this tells me it is indeed a lily. The plant also started to hang. I have repotted it in soil and it already seems better.
