Hi from essex U.K
Default Hi from essex U.K

Hi to all.
I'm Mark and have been orchid addicted for 8 months and lurking here for 6 of them . The knowledge available through O.B is astounding and has helped a newbie like myself no end. I've dived straight in at the deep end and am growing ,and I use the term loosely, mainly Masdies and Draculas. I have a small greenhouse with extra lighting and humidification . Everything seems to have come through a dark and bleak U.k winter so far ,but I'm expecting my real challenge to be keeping the heat down in Summer. Any tips welcome.
Feels good to be a part of O.B and can't wait to see the stuff I've missed until joining.
Regards Mark

Hello and welcome to the board. Goodness you did jump in and not getting the most easiest ones to grow. But they are so cool.

Welcome, niccinel

I always wanted to grow masdies and draculas but never tried it due to the same problem you're about to face: summer heat.
The only difference is you are growing them already while I'm not.

Go for it Rbarata. Your challenges may even be greater than mine. But ,if you never try ......
Search out the warmer growers and just try for the night heat reduction with some sort of extra humidification and Kool logs etc.
