Hello from London, UK!
Hi all! I bought a noID orchid from Tesco (supermarket/grocery shop) and had no idea how much I would fall in love with it as time went on. I find everything about my orchid (phal.) fascinating, from its roots to the little nodes on the spike. I'm still working out what to do - my phal has dropped most of its first set of flowers (it was in bloom for 4 months!) and as I learn more, I'm considering a number of things - should I begin fertilising? Do I need to switch water sources (I currently use tap water and I live in London so it's really hard)? Tap water hasn't seemed to have bothered my plant so far. I'm trying to do everything slowly but keep getting excited!
I've bought a few new orchids as well: cymbidium erythrostylum, camaridium meleagris and pleurothallis palliolata because I found them so pretty. Let me know if you have any advice for me, but hopefully I'll be able to keep them all alive.
