Hello Everyone! Orchids in WI (Lots of Pictures)
Like most, this hobby started with one, complex hybrid phalaenopsis orchid that used to fit perfectly near a bright window, receiving indirect light.
Attached you will see how the collection has grown. It is nice to see some flowers during the wintertime in WI.
I would also like to extend my gratitude to those who keep this forum running. Thank you - it has become a great resource.
I hope everyone enjoys the pictures. Although I see I can only attach 10 files...I do have more...

Wow, very nice collection. It doesn't take long to start expanding on your collection. Especially when you start seeing all the interesting and beautiful orchids that will grow in your conditions. how long have you been growing? All you 'chids look happy and healthy. I'm especially jealous of your Paphs. I had a few, but have since lost them.

Amanda L - how long have you been growing?
I started when my husband and I bought our first home in 2012. Our previous apartment didn't have very good light and so all I could keep (at least happy and growing :P) were phals. Now that I have the space with so many large windows (an eastern bay window, three large western windows, and one southern window), I started to branch out to different genera.
P.S.-I am sorry about your paphs! I am still a newbie. I started with two last summer (maudiae-type from Hausermann's in IL) and placed them on seedling heating mats. They seemed to flourish then - with an easy recovery to their new environment and lots of growth. I don't know what it is about their flowers (perhaps the cute little pouch :P), but they are so lovely.
