Hello, from central Missouri
My wife and I have been growing and collecting orchids for the past fifteen or so years. We have amassed about 400 plants, about 175 different varieties. We have most of the usual suspects phals, paphs/Prags, oncidiums, cattleyas dendrobiums,a few Bulbophyliums, and some vandas and a lot of oddball species. But the ones we like the best are the showy fragrant cattleya hybrids, oh so wonderful. We use to grow outside during the summer months under shade cloth and barrowed greenhouse space form a friend in the winter, but as the collection grew, space became an issue. So we built a greenhouse in the back yard this spring to house them all. The house measures 16X30, because they tell you to build to twice as big as you think , but will that be enough as we are all ready pretty full. Have enjoyed reading all the posts and learning more and more about these amazing plants and all the things that you all are doing with your plants and growing areas

Welcome. St. Louis here. I would make the growing space about 1000 times larger because your addiction is going to a new level!

Welcome. I am from central MO (Jefferson City area) as well. At least we were, now we are closer to Saint Charles. Enjoy your greenhouse. I dream of having one someday.
