Default Greetings from Atlanta

Ok, I've decided that cymbidiums alone aren't enough. I've got about 80 cymbidiums, but none bloom this time of year, so I'm depressed. It's time to branch out and learn how to grow some other orchids, so I found this site and it looks like a good place to start educating myself. I've now purchased a few epidendrums, a few zygopedalums, a laelia, and a few mini-cattleyas. Wish me luck on my decision to enter the non-cymbidium orchid world!

Carl

Hello Carl and welcome! You have definitely found the right place to get started on your expansion
We have a lot of people here growing all kinds of 'chids in all kinds of conditions and locations.

Maybe you'd like to join one of our projects?
We have one going right now with a group here and in Australia growing Phal lobbii, which is a mounted miniature. We're also in the process of lining up people for our next project, the new plant type is yet to be decided. You can read all about it in a thread entitled:
How about an International 'Chid Project? which you will find in the Contests & Polls section of the forum.

If you need any help, please don't hesitate to ask.

We also have a number of people in the chatroom each night, starting around 8pm...why don't you stop in?
We'd love to meet you.
Hope to see you there

Aboard Carl from Atlanta. You have been directed to the best on the web...the OB welcomes you. It was nice to see you in chat and want to expand your chids...expanding is good ...share some would love to see some cyms. Need the mini's here due to having my chids indoors. The butterball I have takes up a lot of room...but it is gorgeous when in bloom...small price to pay.
