Question Eulophia guineesis cultivation

HI, my name is Bruce. I am 73 years old and live in Brisbane, Australia. I have a varied collection of apprx 80orchids, species and hybrid Dends, Cymbidiums, Cats, Oncidiums and Vandas. I have recently been given an Eulophia guineensis. Can any one give me some tips on raising this African orchid. Thanks Bruce.

Welcome to Orchid Board, great to have you here

I've just moved your post to the Introductions section as that's a slightly better place for it

I'm afraid I don't know Eulophia guineensis. If you don't get any answers here in your intro it may be best to start another thread in our Cymbidium Alliance section of the forum (see link below) to specifically ask for care tips for that orchid.

I've just searched our forum and Eulophia guineensis has been discussed a couple of times before. You may find some useful information in one of these links. If you want to ask further questions it's best to start your own new thread though as these threads are quite old.

I don't grow this one, but I grow E. paniculata, petersii and another. They are terrestrials. Grow them in fast-draining soil mixes and not epiphyte mixes. Water and fertilize heavily during warm weather and don't let go dry during the winter. Give as much light as they can take short of burning. Don't let freeze, but don't worry about low winter temperatures. In the summer give as much heat as possible. And use a large container - they make multiple growths per year if warm, wet and fed.
