I have been growing orchids since the 70's. I owned my own orchid business in the San Francisco Bay Area in the 80's. In the 90's I studied to be an AOS Judge. Today I am obsessed with Neofinetia falcata cultivars!

Do you have any Neofinetia falcata Fukiran cultivars that you would like to trade or sell? I am also interested in collecting AOS awarded neos. Got any?

It is fall here in Maryland so the days are getting colder. If we cannot trade soon perhaps in the spring?

I have seedlings and also a project orchid as well as a few trades I did with some other members. My seedlings are just over a year old out of the flask. I deflasked them myself.

Default Seedlings Growing

So your seedlings are growing and you are learning about flasking and deflasking. I have done little of that. Have you tried your hand at flasking?

I have just got into it. My flasks are ok still but I have not replated at all yet my own. I now have signs of germination in some of my jars. I have to much liquid in my jars I think, was my problem. But I went by what I read and tried it. My seeds were mostly nods, I also had a friend send me some of her seedlings after she deflasked but they were small and I tried replating them and didn't have luck at all. They died on me had mold on them. Which killed them in 2 days or my peroxide did after I swished them in that to try killing the mold before I put them in flasks.
I want to give it another shot but I need a sterile area to try it again.

You are brave. I would like to try it. Some people have flasked in their oven. Do you have a laminar flow hood?
