I wanted to stop by and introduce myself.

We recently bought a home 8 months ago and received our first orchid as a gift. 8 months later I'm up to 6. Learning little by little and loving the array of orchids out there. =)

Hi Iris,

Welcome to Orchid Board. Not to worry. 6 will miltiply to 12 then 12 will be 24 and so on. You can grow orchids like crazy in Florida.
I moved here 3 1/2 years ago and don't tell my husband but last count it is over 100. They just seem to show up. I keep moving them around so he can't tell unless he decided to count them all. Tell the truth it doesn't look like that many. Oh, I'm going to the Boca Orchid Show this Sat & Sunday and guess what?? There is a sale too. He knows that more are coming home. I'll be driving the station wagon.

So far I have 4 dendobriums, 1 Vanda and 1 I believe is a cymbidium. I actually just got it from a coworker. =) I'm hopeful and sure my small collection will grow
