I'm about 40 miles north of Tampa. If you're going to be in Tampa, you will want to visit Louis Del Favero's place...it's just off the Suncoast Parkway, very easy to get to.

Louis Del Favero Orchids, Inc
6601 Gant Road
Tampa, FL 33625
(813) 963-5103

Louis doesn't have a web site but he has a huge selection of very nice orchids.

If you're going to be in Sarasota for Marie Selby Gardens, there are a number of growers in the area...
one place I'm dying to get to is Rozanski Orchid House, Pinellas Park, Florida, 727-235-3291

There seems to be a problem with their web site right now but I've heard wonderful things about them.

Have a wonderful trip!

Hi Irphrog, I'll try and send a picture of what I believe is a Phal equestrius. I'm usually in NYC at least twice a year to visit relatives and EAT REAL FOOD. Queen's is Okay and my message didn't even get a rise out of the young gentleman from Queens oh well"-0 I've not taken any digitals of my plants and tried to post pictures. I'll try though and maybe my wife can help. I also have a good number of Lady Slippers growing next to my home which I'll try and get pictures of this spring. By the way I/ve been to Jacksonville and it's a poor third to the UPPER Bronx then Queens.....:-)

Your right of course and It's also why I live in Northern Maine. People here still leave their doors and vehicles unlocked. I can always go to NYC for a visit and EAT. My wife is glad I'm going with her to FL for her conf. ...she's not so glad MY visit includes going to nurseries, but after 38 years what is she going to do beat me up:-)
