Orchid newbie from Ohio

Hi everybody,

Figured I'd finally introduce myself after a month or so of lurking.

I have always enjoyed gardening and inherited a green thumb from my father and mother, but I only recently became orchiddicted. I owe my interest in orchids to the Florida skunk ape legend, I suppose, but that's a long story.

After realizing that I wasn't killing my NoID box store phal as I had feared, and that maybe the orchid thing wasn't as intimidating as I'd led myself to believe, I've spent the past several months prowling the orchid bargain bins of central Ohio. (I just can't resist a $50 orchid marked down to 5 bucks, even if the odds are stacked against me...).

I'm definitely feeling my way, with ample blunders already (Winter plan? What winter plan?). Probably will be posting the latest problem sometime this afternoon, if I get my act together and download the pics.

Anyway, I've already learned a ton from you all, and it's much appreciated. Hopefully at some point I can contribute too...
