Hello from Montreal

I am new here and new to cultivation and caring for orchids. The orchids I have are phalaenopsis orchids. It started as usual from one orchis given to me for birthday last year. Now I have five of them. I had six but I already killed one Two of the five that I still have are not doing so good. Almost all roots got rotten and I repot them in new soil making sure they are all is clean.

Recently I changed all to new location and removed all of them from decorative pots for more ventilation. I can also see better the roots that way to see first sign of trouble.

After getting first orchid all was well but at some point I got some insects with one of new orchids and all went down fall from then.

Thank you all. I hope the two that had rotten roots will pull out and grow some roots... but I guess I will have to wait couple of weeks for first sign of them getting better
