Trying to resurrect a ghost

Not the orchid...but a username.

I disappeared for quite a while and hadn't gotten back into the groove of things until as of late.

I'm trying to get my old username restored :

I've tried to have some folks reach out to admin. I wanted to see if i could lean on the request a little.

Quite frankly i'd rather not be "that guy"

I checked your user profile (under Marco) and it is still enabled and active as far as I can tell. Do you remember your login info? If you changed e-mail addresses or something it is maybe not working for you now.

Unfortunately, I don't remember which email address i registered the name under.

I just pulled up one of your old posts so it is there under new posts, about stuff for trade. I can tell you what your old e-mail address was, but you have private messaging turned off so I can't PM you unless you want me to turn it on or at least just temporary. There is a letter sequence in your e-mail if that helps. I don't want to give it out on here.

Someone did ask me about a user, but the username given and/or email address didn't match any account. I had asked for more info but not heard anything... hopefully I'm right that this is you, if so glad we've tracked down your account.

It looks like your account is in a status of 'User awaiting moderation'. This happens to accounts that have not been used in about 6 months. (Not sure if it happens automatically, or if Marty our site owner runs a process occasionally). But it means that even if you can log in you won't be able to post.

I had an email address for you from the person who contacted me (and thinking about it I should have contacted you before on that, only just thought of it ) It's not the one you have registered on the account (that Silken has sent you).

I have just dropped you an email to the address I was given by another member. If it's the one you would like to use then just let me know here or reply to my email.

I can then...

1) Change the email address on your account (if it needs changing)
2. Change your account to 'Await Email Confirmation'
3. Trigger an email to you with a link to confirm your email address
4. Trigger an email with a password reset link if you don't know the password.
5. If you've made any posts under this username in the mean-time I can merge the two accounts under the old name so all the posts are on the one account.

Just want to make sure the email address is correct before I do all that. Don't want the links going to the wrong person.
