I have this (evil?) impulse to send you pics of all the cool growers I'd have if I had any place cool. Then you could post pictures of them and I could grow vicariously.
I will be interested to find out if your houseplants, like mine, end up finding other homes when they are discovered to be sitting on valuable potential orchid real estate. The reverse coloring spider plant that I had for 25 years was one of the last to go when I found out it was a haven for spider mites. The lone survivor houseplant is an Anthurium clarinervium - neglected, but still loved in that special way that only a parent distracted by 80 or so other children can love.
