A quick hi and more of a post to say thank you for all I have learnt from the forum (I have been lurking for a while).

I have a small collection, 5 orchids (so far!) all on a south facing windowsill, except for my ludisia discolor which sits on the coffee table.

The wife and I went for the first time on valentine's day. We timed it so we caught their orchid festival. You could go anytime as for me the real pleasure was in the longer term exhibits of the rarer species.

We're lucky being in london, next month is the international orchid show (hosted by RHS). I am looking forward to that.

I'm in total LUST for some of the hybrid Pleiones you folks in England have access to! Have you tried Pleiones?? I was at the Chelsea Flower Show back in the mid-80's, visited Ian Butterfield's greenhouses and was able to import some of his lovely Pleiones back then. Now all of the CITES gobblygook puts huge brick walls between those of us in the USA who love Pleiones and gorgeous new hybrids in Europe/England. Anyway, welcome!
