I've not tried Pleiones (I'm a noob, and still getting my head around all the different types). A quick google later and I can see they are suitable for windowsill growing, so would suit me.

I have a friend who hand carried plants through customs by mixing them in with a salad to conceal them! Not something I'd like to try.

Just mentioned Pleione since you have access to some of the most lovely stocks (covet covet covet) and it's my favorite orchid genus. I have to admit that I try to stick with legalities as having the 'orchid police' raid my collection is a horror I don't want to consider! Good luck with your new plants.....and I look forward to hearing how you do?!?!?
