Hafa Adai (Hello) from Guam!
New to Forums and like others have been following OB for a few months and decided to take the plunge! Live in sunny, tropical island of Guam in the western Pacific, 3 hour flight from Japan and Philippines and 8 hour flight from Hawaii.
Started growing orchids a few years ago and more seriously in the last couple years. Not a lot of written material online about growing in the tropics but learn loads from reading everyone's post.
Thanks for having me and if ever you are in Guam, give me a holler!
Mas Rikuetdo (best regards in Chamorro, our indigenous language)

Welcome! This site has been a great resource for me also. I am curious as to the types of orchids you grow in Guam. I imagine you have them outdoors? I would love to be able to grow outdoors all year round!

Thank you everyone! Yes we grow outdoors all year round. The dens especially take 100% full sun and of course the phals do great. We get a lot from Thailand and Hawaii and we have a few wild orchids but not sure the names. I'm what you would call a newbie so just learning and this thing called orchids is infectious!!!!
Looking to learning a lot from all of you.
Si Yu'os Ma'ase (Thank you!)

Hi and welcome to the board,
Wathep here from BKK and yes, lemme know when you and your group are up for another orchid expedition to the Land of (still smiling) Smiles and I'll be happy to be your local guide (if you need one that is - not that I have gotten that much knowledge!)
Anyway, try to post a few more and you'll be able to show your pics of local flora and fauna, please do so when you can (I'm doing so myself, being a newbie too as you know, 4 posts and counting:-)
Sawatdee (good day)
