Hello from Costa Rica!
Hello, everyone! I have just registered. I don't have much knowledge about orchids. I simply love to find wild orchids and to photograph them. Unfortunately, books that I have only show 350 species or so (More than 1,450 species have been recorded in Costa Rica) . I will often post photos of unidentified species. Please help me. Thank you very much for your time

Thank you, bellini girl. I was trying to post some photos on identifycation forum and my post was denied. I found that I could only post a message, but no photos. I don't know what to do. The message is as follows: Post denied. New posts are limited by number of URLs it may contain and checked if it doesn't contain forbidden words.

Welcome to Orchid Board! You have to have a few posts before you can post a picture. I think you need about 4, so it won't be long and you can show us pictures.

Welcome !
I'm looking forward to your pictures.
We can learn a lot from seeing orchids in their natural habitats.
It would be great if you can also give us some informations about the climatic conditions with the pictures.

Welcome to Orchid Board. You need 5 posts before you can post pictures so you are nearly there. Here is a link to a sticky thread in case you need some help posting them: http://www.orchidboard.com/community...ng-photos.html

Hi, so I guess where you come from, you don't have to grow orchids: they grow themselves ?

Hi, ula. Yes. That is why local people take wild orchids home for their own pleasure or busines, and some species are not commonly seen any more. For example, I have never seen the national flower, Guarianthe skinneri except botanic gardens or hotel grounds. It makes me sad.
