Hello and welcome! You have come to the right place to learn about orchids. Very friendly and helpful members. I'm new to orchids as well, only a few months myself. I don't know where you are in Va, but you should check out Al's Orchids in Leesburg Va., it's small but a beautiful greenhouse paradise and Al is a peach! He loves to talk orchids and he is very knowledgeable. I love to visit him. Welcome!

Welcome to OB, a great resource with very helpful people. In addition to Andy's in Leesburg, there's a small vendor in Vienna called Orchids For You. I bought my first non-grocery store orchids from him and he was very good in suggesting plants for a newb with my particular environment. He usually runs a very good sale in the early summer to clear out unsold, formerly blooming plants.
