Hello, Chris from central Texas :)
Hi y'all,
My name is Chris, I've been growing African Violets for a few years and recently began a (very) small collection of orchids, and a few hoyas. Since African Violets don't come in orange and there are only a few varieties that approach true red and yellow, I wanted have some orchids for that, as well as for fragrance. So I got some!
Phal Orchid World (fragrant, red and yellow)
Psychopsis Mendenhall
Paphiopedilum delenatii (dunkel...not sure where it goes in the title)
Oh! and a "Trichophilia suavis" although I won't receive that until spring.
and some noid Phals.
I have no idea how to care for the Psychopsis, because the info on it is all over the map, but we'll see if I can keep it alive...the leaves are absolutely gorgeous, and the psuedobulbs are brown...I never thought brown psuedobulbs could look so cool.

Welcome to orchid board. Psychosis is easy to care for, the temperature is fairly even throughout the year ranging from 60°F at night and 80°F in the day. Allow the plant to dry between waterings. Humidity 50-75 ℅. They need good light. DONT cut of the flower spike they will continue blooming from the same spike for years. Orchids can come in almost any colour(except true blue) and shape, and every now and then a fragrant one. There are leafless species, like the Dendrophyllax lindenii. There are even underground orchids , like the Rhizanthella gardneri. Happy growing

Welcome fellow Texan. Its the Texan Orchid Board. Lots of Texans we got here. Texas is just a great all around state for growing things. We have strange weather but the rest of tha' nation seems to be enjoying our Texas brand of weather also... 
Paph. delenatii var. vinicolor (Dunkel).. Dunkel is the vini(red/purple) colored variation of the delenatii . Its coloring is different from the standard pinkish/purple delenatii.

Welcome to Orchid Board. I have my Psycopsis planted in a medium orchid bark and it seems to like being watered before it is bone dry. It has 3 spikes going!
