Hello from NC!
Hi All! My first post!
I am currently amassing a collection to determine what will survive my environment/me and what will thrive in my environment/in my care. I think this is an addiction! I have an Orchid Greenhouse in my town (The Orchid Trail) which is pretty dangerous in of itself. However, it is becoming a labor of love and stress reducer from my job and raising my 9 month old.
I am looking forward to learning and sharing with all of you!
Here is a complete list of my 'chid population (** means in spike/bud):
-**Sam's Club Phal
-Rescued Blc. Magic Meadow 'Green Genius'

-**Paph. Hilo Jewel '#10' x Paph. Hsinying Citron '#16'
-Paph. sanderianum ('Nature's Glory' x 'Dark -Beauty')

Greetings from NJ! Very nice collection you have and a great hobby to help one wind down! Guess once your babe starts cruising, those other 'chids will need to be elevated or given a room of their own.Welcome!

Welcome to the Orchidboard! I started growing orchids when I lived in North Carolina. I used to stop at the Orchid Trail after a stressful day at work. John and Paul are fantastic and I still order orchids from them even though I now live in Michigan, as they are one of my favorite vendors.
My kids are 2 and 3 and growing orchids is relaxing for me too. As they get older they have an appreciation for orchids and even grow some of their own.
You have a great collection! And your blooms are beautiful! Hope to continue to see you on the forum.

Greetings from your neighbor state I've been to the Orchid Trail a few times, and have always been satisfied with my purchases. If you haven't been to Owen's orchids yet, it is a definite must. Definitely my favorite nursery in NC.

Hello and welcome to the board. Your Shary Baby is just beautiful. I love the red color and how tall it gets. I can't wait to see some of the others you will have in bloom soon. Thanks for sharing with us all.
