Hi all
joined up today as I have loved orchids for a very long time. Had my first ones some years ago and then moved interstate, so gave a considerable collection of pots and hanging baskets away, rather than taking them on a long journey. This included a couple of orchids that I had cultivated proudly(without really knowing much about them) but they had bloomed well over a couple of years.

Bought another one in September this year, and would now like to find out as much as I can about species and blooms. Look forward to hearing about people's experiences.

Welcome to the OB, I am sorry to hear about you having to give up your orchids. I don't think that I could have done that...I am a pretty novice grower but have attached quickly to my orchids.

It must've been tough to give up your collection! I had to leave my "regular" plants in NY when we moved down to Florida (no room on the trip down ) and I was miserable...and that was with no orchids!

What types of orchids are you growing now? I'm sure if you have questions, the folks here are eger to help They're the best!
