well, now that life has smoothed out i picked orchids back up again and after 5 months of collecting my room was bursting at the seams and because im an orchiholic, i now have a 10x12 greenhouse that i just love. because high school can be a little stressful i love to unwind out there and feel the humididty and the colors and just to know everything is thriving. I just love plants!
anyway i plan on posting some pics of the greenhouse soon, so for now Bye!!

First of all, welcome to the board. You have managed to pack a lot of information that leads to more questions:

1. Are you a high school teacher or a high school student?
2. It is fantastic you have the wherewithal to set up a greenhouse!
3. You really have to post pictures, but there is a five post minimum so start more threads, reply to other threads!

thanks! I'm a high school student 9th grade, pretty young but i have always had a passion for plants.
Ya, this greenhouse was quite a project i had been saving up for a while
ill post some pics this week, thanks so much for the tips

cool! do you grow indoors or out?

I grow indoors only. Mostly Phals. in a full sun, southwest window and assorted other orchids in two groups. Each under 3 - 2' T5 fluorescent bulbs. I finally have a set up that seems to please everyone. At least for the moment! What type of greenhouse are you constructing? That's a big undertaking!
