Semi-newbie from NC Female
Default Semi-newbie from NC

My friend turned me onto orchids and now, I guess you could say I'm addicted. I don't know why people become so fascinated with orchids, but I've caught the bug. In the beginning I thought phalanopsis were the only orchids But now I've learned quite a bit and it has grown into quite an investment in time and money. I really enjoy my plants. They give me a sense of peace, worth, and teach me patience and trial and error. Right now I'm living in the mountains of NC where it is starting to become chilly this time of year. My dendrobiums are hanging out on the porch with the phals, and everyone else is having some time under the grow light in the dining room. I really want to move somewhere much warmer after college because its a personal preference and why wouldn't I want to--if my babies will do much better?! I'll take any advice you want to throw my way. I do know a little bit. I own about 21 orchids at the moment and they are taking over my apartment, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
